dots and lines is a collection
about order, pattern, and rhythm.

Focused on traditional materials and methods, this collection is built in honor of the connection of artist to art and the connection of art to observer. All canvases employ a regular grid structure laid out by hand, a pattern of lines and dots is applied based on a set of “laws” which govern composition. (artist > art) Each piece is designed as a framework for pattern recognition and individual interpretation. (art > observer) Each piece is designed with the intention of inspiring a memory, feeling, or rhythm

GUARDIANS ARE A SERIES CREATED AROUND MYTHOLOGY AND CALIFORNIA CULTURE.

Shrine (Latin: scrinium "case or chest for books or papers"; Old French: escrin "box or case")[1] is a holy or sacred place, which is dedicated to a specific deity, ancestor, hero, martyr, saint, daemon, or similar figure of awe and respect, at which they are venerated or worshipped.

Shrines are an important element of many cultures. Often religious, the elements presented have a familiar vocabulary associated with Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Native cultures, and many others.

The myths and spirit of California are an important element of American and international popular culture. The bear spirit animal, the surfboard representative of freedom, and the elements surrounding each piece become totemic shrines to the spirit of this land.

XOXO is a collection about IRREVERENCE, COLOR, AND ABSTRACTION

XOXO started life as an exploration of print methods and color, constructed around a circle and line language inspired by the great abstract and surrealists artists of the 20th century. Linear elements and bright primary colors describe relationships of space and connection with recurrent use of the XOXO motif.

First shown at Workshop - Sausalito, California.

ARCS is a collection
about COLOR, GRADIENT, And geometry.

The arcs collection was conceived while experimenting with mobile user interfaces. The need for simplicity and bright distinct interface elements + my love of circles and gradients laid the groundwork for these simple evocative pieces.
